CAMERA MOUNTING SYSTEM

JOB DONE MAN!!

I have got a complete system (well, I have made it!!), to be able to make movies of myself and friends when we are out to have some fun with MTBs , MOTOXbikes..

Now it is time to transform this system from amateurish to professional.

Let's make the best interchangeable system to hold the video LENS!!!

Starting from a piece of hard plastic I am making it rectangular at wish dimensions...

then I am slotting 3 tied-ups slots...with 4mm mill

next step is a video, I am machining the 20mm "third of hole" using the boring head!!!

The result of this is a perfect fitting housing for the round shaped LENS (let's call this POSITIVE CLAMP)

How perfect is that!!!!

The machining of the negative CLAMP is secret, but result is visible in next few photos...

Left picture shows a HJC helmet with NEGATIVE CLAMP made with 2 axis inclinations (this is because f**k visor is not PLAN!)

the right photos shows an old AXO helmet with NEGATIVE CLAMP and LENS attached.

I have used secret super powerful VELCRO.

The good things about this system is that we (my self and my friends,) can swap camera from one helmet to other just by hands without screws to remove or tied-ups to cut..

also, the NEGATIVE clamps are made to gives the lens the same final inclination, which is good !!

(the USA  tape is not the best looking job, but is the easier way  to keep in place the wires!)
